The NHS introduced the Community Urgent Eyecare Service (CUES) to provide urgent assessment, treatment, or referral for sudden eye problems. The service is available across the North West, with some regions excluded — call to confirm eligibility and book an appointment.
This service is not an eye test.

- Current glasses or contact lens details.
- Notes on symptoms and when they started.
- Any eye drops or medications you are using.
